Released via Quixote R.P.M. in partnership with Scalper.
While I was on tour last year I was introduced by Patrice Mancino of Quixote R.P.M to Francis ‘Cisco’ Esteves who had arranged a couple of gigs for me in Rodez, South of France. Cisco then invited me to do an artist residency in Tangiers Morocco in July 2018 to which I accepted. And so, during 5 nights and 4 days in the desert vibes we recorded 4 tracks which have now been released as Scalper X Cisco ‘Tangiers Sessions’ on Quixote R.P.M Paris. It was a different and challenging experience for me as I usually work alone in my recording process and do all the music and lyrics in my own steady pace and not to a deadline of sorts, however this time I just did the lyrics, went with the vibe and left the production and composition ideas entirely in the hands of Cisco. You can hear the results by clicking HERE and choose your platform of choice to either listen or purchase. Thanks.

Le retour de Scalper : le cheval est dans le fruit
English Translation here : The man has definitely the chic, after its fabulous variation on the Emperor’s New Clothes of two years ago, to adapt the large Legends and allegories of the past, is the reclaim and give them a modern resonance. This time, scalper, aka Nadeem Shafi, former fun da mental and solo artist since a lease, is attacking the Trojan horses of our time with a new single called Trojan horses.
Bringer of a compilation of 7 titles that will be edited in the still relevant Quixote Music, the new title is sumptuous, worn by a minimalist piano a formidable elegance. The song is serious as always and worn by the Grace. Scalper, in the universe black and dark that it knows, rings the load, sending its toward and its poetic images in the assault on the enemy. The title is balanced and slow to desire, as if the accompaniment calibrait skillfully the assault of an impregnable citadel. The illustration of the pouch reminds us of the essential wisdom of the Bonhomme. Cuts, the compilation to come, will allow reason of two titles extracts from each of its three solo albums to represent the unique world of this singer/rapper/shaman outside standards to those who have missed its previous passages on earth. Proof of that is that the notes and articles on the are cleared generally of…. Comparisons with other artists who make up the whole coming from the musical critique. Scalper is almost the only one to do what he is doing and the only one to be what it is. On cuts, we will thus regain of titles of which we have been able to speak here in the past such as Black Glory, lullaby, DNA or the essential necessary evil.
According to sources close to the folder, the compilation could be only one walk foot toward new songs and new adventures, in small or Long Format. It was anxious to be there and also to find this out performer standard on the French scenes. We bet that it will be for 2017.
